Monash Health – Kingston Centre
Requirement
The Kingston Centre at Monash Health aimed to upgrade their balcony facilities to create a modern, functional space for their aged care patients. They envisioned a welcoming environment where patients could relax and enjoy their time outdoors. To ensure the seating met the unique needs of their patients, the staff at Monash Health approached SeatsPlus to deliver the perfect solution.
Solution
After understanding the specific requirements of the facility, the SeatsPlus team recommended six wheelchair friendly park settings. These settings were chosen to perfectly fit the two balcony areas, providing ample space for patients to move around comfortably and access the seating with ease. The staff at Monash Health selected a powder coated finish in the Colorbond shade Night Sky, which added a sleek, modern aesthetic to the space.
Result
The SeatsPlus team completed the installation with great success, leaving both staff and patients delighted with the transformation. The new settings offer a comfortable and functional area where patients can enjoy meals and relaxation time in the fresh air. During the installation process, the Monash Health team decided to relocate two of the wheelchair friendly park settings to the rose garden, creating a tranquil space for staff to use during their breaks. The feedback from the Monash Health team was overwhelmingly positive, celebrating the project’s completion as a resounding success
