Requirement
Linda, Business Manager – At St Augustine’s College in Kyabram, we had an outdoor area that was bare and largely unused, and we saw the need for more practical seating for our students during recess and lunch. The team at SeatsPlus were incredibly helpful and responsive to our needs. They offered a wide range of options that helped us transform the space, and our students are now thoroughly enjoying the new setup.
Linda, the Business Manager at St Augustine’s College in Kyabram, reached out to the SeatsPlus team in November 2024, following a successful partnership that began in May 2023. Having previously worked with Brandi and the team; Linda was confident that SeatsPlus could once again deliver a functional and visually appealing outdoor seating solution tailored to the school’s needs.
The school required seating that was both durable and inviting providing a comfortable space for students to gather, relax, and enjoy their breaks. It was essential that the design complemented the existing school environment and colours while being low-maintenance and able to withstand the demands of a busy schoolyard.
Solution
After consulting with Linda and evaluating several options, the school selected three compact park settings in a vibrant yellow gold powder coat finish. This colour choice not only brightened the area but also harmonised beautifully with the school’s official colours.
The seating was strategically placed under the olive trees near one of the school playgrounds, offering shade and a calm space for students during recess and lunchtime. The positioning was carefully chosen to enhance both comfort and visibility, turning an underutilised area into a welcoming outdoor retreat.
Result
Installation was completed during the school holidays to avoid any disruption to students and staff. The result is a visually striking and practical seating area that has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback. Students now use the space daily, enjoying the opportunity to connect, unwind, and engage in outdoor learning or relaxation.
