St. Brendan’s Primary School, Shepparton
Requirement
St. Brendan’s Primary School in Shepparton sought to add additional seating outside their classrooms to provide students with a comfortable area to enjoy recess and lunch undercover. The primary objective was to maximise seating capacity within a limited space while maintaining easy access to classrooms and bag racks for both students and teachers.
Solution
The SeatsPlus team conducted an onsite consultation with St. Brendan’s staff to assess the spaces and ensure the proposed solution met all requirements. The team recommended:
- Four Wheelchair Friendly Park Settings: Each setting accommodates 6 to 8 people comfortably while ensuring accessibility for all.
- Seven 2m Bolt Down Benches and Five 3m Bolt Down Benches: These benches were strategically placed along the fence to maximise seating without obstructing the walkway.
- 5-Bay Bike Stand: Positioned near one of the school’s entry points, the stand provides a secure space for students to park their bikes safely.
The seating and bike stand were provided in a plain finish for a clean and simple aesthetic.
Result
St. Brendan’s Primary School was delighted with the proposal and requested a quick installation. The completed project transformed the outdoor space, providing students with functional and enjoyable seating areas.
Following the success of the initial installation, the school engaged SeatsPlus again to add, four additional 2m Bolt Down Benches and one 2m Bolt Down Bench with a Backrest. These were installed in a new garden area close to the original installation, maintaining the same plain finish for consistency with the original design.
The partnership with St. Brendan’s Primary School has been a resounding success, delivering practical and visually appealing solutions for their outdoor spaces. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and supporting their future projects.
